The WeekEach day starts with an opportunity for private prayer before breakfast is served in the restaurant. At 9.10am all Retreatants join together for a Bible study which lasts about half an hour. After a short break for coffee all gather together again for the daily notices and the Keynote Address on the theme of the day. The whole day is centred around the Hour of Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament with start at Midday and end with Benediction. After lunch Retreatants have a choice of taking part in Optional Seminars on a wide range of subject from prayer to singing or it you prefer you can spend the afternoon walking along the beach or catching up on missed sleep. Each day at 5.45pm the Mass is Sung and a sermon is preach by one of the many Bishop in attendance. The Music during this Mass is a good mix of old and contemporary hymns and musical settings. The last act of worship takes place each day at 8.45pm. On Monday evening Compline is sung by candlelight. Tuesday evening is an opportunity for Retreatants to reflect on the importance of Mary in the life of the Church. Healing and Reconciliation is the theme of Wednesday evenings worship during which there is a time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) Anointing and Laying on of Hand with prayer. Everything goes upbeat on Thursday evening when we join together a sing our favourite hymns (or Bishop Lindsay’s) in ‘Songs of Praise’. After the worship of the day has finished it time to meet with friends both old and new for a drink in the bar where you may even be entertained by a singing Nun or a dancing Bishop until everything stops at midnight to sing the Regina Caeli.
